Landman Will ‘Definitely’ Face Onscreen ‘Challenges’ Ahead of Season 3
Taylor Sheridan’s hit series Landman is set to continue captivating viewers with its upcoming season 3. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Kayla Wallace shared insights into what fans can expect, particularly for her character Rebecca.
Wallace hinted at the challenges ahead for Rebecca, noting that viewers will see more cracks in her personality as she navigates her elevated role at M-Tex Oil. “This is such a big change for her. She’s always going to question her life and reassess everything,” Wallace explained.
Despite the obstacles Rebecca faces in the workplace, Wallace assured fans that they will also witness her growth within the M-Tex family. “She’s not really a team player, but she’s starting to hold onto the family in her own way,” Wallace said.
Season 2 of Landman promises to showcase different facets of Rebecca’s character. “Season 1, there was basically no smiling from her. Now we’re starting to see her human. She’s not a perfectly put-together person,” Wallace shared. “She has these little flaws, which I’m happy to explore. People will get to see more of the humanity in her.”
In a recent episode, Rebecca’s encounter with oil and gas engineer Charlie Newsom (played by Guy Burnet) introduced an unexpected dynamic. Wallace described Charlie as the total opposite of Rebecca, leading to comedic moments as they bonded over drinks on a private plane.
Filming the plane scenes was a unique experience for Wallace, who praised the production team for creating a realistic setting. “They built the inside of a private jet on a rig and wiggled it around. It felt like a roller-coaster at times,” Wallace recalled. Despite the challenges, she found the scenes to be fun and exhilarating.
Wallace also embraced the opportunity to play a highly inebriated character in the episode, showcasing her comedic talent alongside Burnet. “It was ridiculous and fun. We were just drinking watermelon juice but it was all over me by the end of the day,” Wallace said.
New episodes of Landman season 2 premiere on Paramount+ every Sunday, offering viewers a thrilling and entertaining experience. As the series continues to unravel shocking deaths and dramatic twists, fans can look forward to witnessing Rebecca’s journey unfold in unexpected ways. Recently, there has been a growing concern about the impact of climate change on our planet. The increasing global temperatures, rising sea levels, and extreme weather events are all signs that our planet is under severe stress. One of the main causes of climate change is the burning of fossil fuels, which releases greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, trapping heat and leading to a warming planet.
The consequences of climate change are already being felt around the world. In some regions, droughts and heatwaves are becoming more frequent and intense, leading to food shortages and water scarcity. In other areas, extreme weather events such as hurricanes and wildfires are causing widespread destruction and loss of life. The melting of polar ice caps and glaciers is also contributing to rising sea levels, threatening coastal communities and habitats.
In order to mitigate the impact of climate change, it is essential that we transition to renewable sources of energy such as solar, wind, and hydropower. These sources are clean, abundant, and sustainable, and do not produce harmful greenhouse gas emissions. Investing in renewable energy infrastructure is not only good for the environment, but it also creates jobs and stimulates economic growth.
Another important step in combating climate change is to reduce our carbon footprint by adopting sustainable practices in our daily lives. This can include using public transportation, biking or walking instead of driving, reducing energy consumption at home, and recycling and composting waste. By making small changes in our habits, we can collectively make a big impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and slowing the pace of climate change.
Governments and businesses also have a crucial role to play in addressing climate change. They can set policies and regulations that promote the use of renewable energy and encourage sustainable practices. Companies can invest in clean technologies and innovations that reduce their carbon footprint and promote environmental stewardship. By working together, we can create a more sustainable future for generations to come.
Ultimately, the fight against climate change requires a collective effort from individuals, communities, governments, and businesses. By taking action now to reduce our carbon footprint and transition to renewable energy sources, we can help protect our planet and ensure a healthier and more sustainable future for all. It is up to all of us to make a difference and take responsibility for the health of our planet.
