Large security presence expected to secure Trump’s military parade, festival

McCool emphasized the comprehensive nature of the security plan, emphasizing that all threats have been mitigated to create a secure environment for the event.

The Secret Service has designated this event as a National Special Security Event (NSSE), marking the fifth such occurrence in the past six months. McCool assured that there would be no line-of-sight issues concerning the president’s safety, as the Secret Service perimeter will be the most secure location globally. The U.S. Coast Guard is actively involved in securing the waterways, providing essential support throughout the day.

While authorities are expecting approximately nine small protests in Washington, McCool emphasized that all potential disruptions have been addressed in the planning stages. He issued a stern warning to anyone contemplating unlawful behavior, stating that individuals attempting to breach security perimeters or incite violence will face immediate arrest and prosecution.
