Launch party for Taylor Swift’s “Life of a Showgirl” is coming to theaters. Here’s what to know.

Taylor Swift enthusiasts are in for a treat as AMC Theaters recently unveiled plans for an official release party celebrating the launch of her latest album, “Life of a Showgirl,” scheduled for Oct. 3 – 5.

Dubbed “The Official Release Party of a Showgirl,” this 89-minute theatrical extravaganza will be showcased at all 540 AMC locations in the U.S. as well as Cinemark and Regal theaters. Additionally, the event will be broadcast in over 100 countries worldwide, starting on Oct. 3 at 3 p.m. EDT.

Tickets for the U.S. screenings went on sale on Friday and were met with overwhelming demand, with wait times exceeding an hour. Fans can purchase tickets for $12 plus tax on the AMC Theaters website.

In an Instagram post, Swift encouraged fans to dress up in their favorite concert attire, hinting at a nostalgic nod to her “Eras Tour.” She also emphasized that while dancing is optional, it is highly encouraged.

As part of the release party experience, AMC Theaters will premiere Swift’s music video for “The Fate of Ophelia,” a track from her upcoming album. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view behind-the-scenes footage, lyric videos, and Swift’s personal insights on the songs.

Swift first announced the arrival of “Life of a Showgirl,” her 12th studio album, last month through her website and subsequent podcast appearance on “New Heights” hosted by her fiancé, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce. The couple recently announced their engagement, adding to the excitement surrounding Swift’s new music.

This collaboration marks AMC Theaters’ second project with Swift, following the success of “The Eras Tour” movie, which became the highest-grossing concert film of all time. The documentary captured Swift’s record-breaking international tour, surpassing previous milestones set by Michael Jackson’s “This Is It.”

In 2020, Netflix released a documentary titled “Miss Americana,” shedding light on Swift’s journey in the entertainment industry. The film was screened in select theaters across the U.S., further solidifying Swift’s presence on both the big screen and in the music industry.
