Location Managers Guild International Awards Nominations 2025

The Location Managers Guild International Awards have announced their nominations for the upcoming 12th annual ceremony, which will take place on August 23 at The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica, California. The LMGI Awards celebrate the exceptional work of location professionals in the film, television, commercial, and film commission industries from around the world.

This year, the LMGI Awards received a record number of submissions from across the globe, showcasing the vital role that locations play in enhancing the art of filmmaking. The nominations include a diverse range of movies and television shows that have captivated audiences with their stunning visuals and creative use of locations.

In the category of Outstanding Locations in a Contemporary Feature Film, films like “Anora,” “A Real Pain,” “Conclave,” “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” and “Twisters” have been recognized for their exceptional use of contemporary settings. On the other hand, period feature films such as “The Apprentice,” “A Complete Unknown,” “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Gladiator II,” “I’m Still Here,” and “Sinners” have been nominated for Outstanding Locations in a Period Feature Film.

In the television series category, shows like “The Day of the Jackal,” “Landman,” “The Last of Us – Season 2,” “Mobland,” “Slow Horses,” and “The Studio” have been acknowledged for their outstanding locations in a contemporary setting. Additionally, period television series like “1923 – Season 2,” “Dark Winds – Season 3,” “Godfather of Harlem – Season 4,” “Hotel Portofino – Season 3,” “One Hundred Years of Solitude,” and “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” have also received nominations for their exceptional use of period settings.

Furthermore, television anthology, MOW, or limited series like “Adolescence,” “American Primeval,” “Dope Thief,” “Lockerbie: A Search for Truth,” “The Penguin,” and “The White Lotus – Season 3” have been recognized for their outstanding locations. In the commercial category, ads like Army National Guard’s “Uncommon is Calling,” Diablo IV’s “Vessel of Hatred,” Lilo & Stitch’s “The Super Bowl Commercial,” Orient Express’s “Artisan of Travel,” and Stella Artois’s “David & Dave” have been nominated for their creative use of locations.

Lastly, the Outstanding Film Commission category highlights the contributions of organizations like the British Columbia Film Commission/Creative BC, City of Toronto Film Office, Egypt Film Commission, Film New Orleans, Montana Film Office, and New Jersey Motion Picture & Television Commission in supporting the production of acclaimed projects like “The Last of Us – Season 2,” “The Handmaid’s Tale – Season 6,” “Fountain of Youth,” “Sinners,” “1923 – Season 2,” and “A Complete Unknown.”
