Their signatures appeared on neighboring pages in the contract, with Epstein representing his Southern Trust Company, Inc. and Lutnick representing a limited liability company called CVAFH I.
While Lutnick claimed to have cut ties with Epstein in 2005 after visiting Epstein’s New York townhouse, emails show that they continued to maintain contact. They arranged calls and planned to meet for drinks in 2011. Additionally, Lutnick and his family planned a visit to Epstein’s island, Little St. James, in 2012.
Despite Lutnick’s assertion that he had limited interactions with Epstein, documents show that their correspondence continued until at least 2014. One shareholder in Adfin, David Mitchell, contacted Epstein regarding additional fundraising involving Cantor Ventures, a venture capital subsidiary of Cantor Fitzgerald, where Lutnick served as president and CEO.
The timing of Lutnick and Epstein’s business dealings raises questions, as Epstein had previously pleaded guilty to charges related to procuring a child for prostitution and soliciting a prostitute.
