Man shot outside Kia dealership in Beverly
A Kia dealership in Beverly was the scene of a shooting on Thursday evening, leaving a 57-year-old man injured. The victim, who was at Evergreen Kia located at 9205 South Western Avenue, told police that he was shot while in the parking lot around 7:40 p.m. He explained to officers that he was in the process of searching for a vehicle for a customer when the incident occurred.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement found the victim on the ground with a gunshot wound to his neck. He was promptly transported to Christ Hospital and was reported to be in serious condition following the shooting. A single shell casing was recovered by investigators at the location, and surveillance footage captured the suspect walking away from the area post-incident. The individual was seen heading northbound on Western Avenue and was described as a Black male wearing a ski mask and dressed in black attire. At this time, authorities have not disclosed a motive for the shooting.
