Masked thugs pummel and rob uniformed NYPD housing cop in Bronx and take his gun

An off-duty NYPD housing cop was viciously attacked and robbed of his belongings by two masked individuals in the Bronx over the weekend. The 27-year-old officer, who had just finished his shift, was walking to his car on St. Peters Avenue in Parkchester when the assailants, dressed in all black, assaulted him and stole his gun belt – containing his weapon.

During the altercation, the cop sustained a fractured eye socket after being kicked in the head while on the ground. He was left unconscious as the perpetrators made off with his gun, wallet, ID cards, and personal and department-issued phones. The officer, whose identity has not been disclosed, was later transported to a nearby hospital where he was reported to be in stable condition.

It was revealed that the cop was on the phone with a fellow officer at the time of the attack and pleaded with the assailants, identifying himself as a police officer in a desperate attempt to prevent further harm. Despite his efforts, the criminals fled the scene after the incident.

Authorities are treating this incident as part of a larger robbery scheme in the Bronx and are actively investigating the matter. The safety of law enforcement officers, both on and off duty, remains a top priority, and measures are being taken to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
