McCammons list Cherry Hills dream home for $18 million
Mark and Amber McCammon’s Dream Home in Cherry Hills Village
When Mark and Amber McCammon decided to settle in Denver, they chose a gated 20-property enclave in Cherry Hills Village to construct their dream residence.
Mark McCammon, co-founder of Strength Capital, acquired the 2.5-acre lot in 2019 for $1.5 million.
Teaming up with architect Don Ruggles of Ruggles Lindemann Bell, the McCammons crafted a home that harmoniously blends contemporary elegance with timeless allure.
“We appreciate tastefully done modern aesthetics,” Mark McCammon explained, highlighting the home’s inspiration from southern European design elements, particularly the clean lines and white stone found in Italy and Greece.
The couple steers clear of passing trends like modern farmhouse or Miami contemporary styles with their stark lines and bold color schemes, preferring instead a cozy ambiance with gray walls and warm lighting.
“We aimed for a design that will stand the test of time,” he added.
Construction commenced in 2019 and lasted three years, resulting in a 22,500-square-foot mansion boasting five bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and over 13,000 square feet of finished living space.
Post-move-in, the McCammons continued to enhance the property by adding a theater, playroom, and an elevator.
“We absolutely adore it,” Mark McCammon expressed. “It’s a perfect representation of our vision and hard work.”
However, with two young children and a Vail residence, the McCammons have decided to spend more time in a warmer climate with palm trees. Thus, they have listed their Cherry Hills Village home for $18 million with Casey Karsh Perry of Compass-Denver.
“As much as we love this home, it’s time for a new adventure,” Mark McCammon stated.
The mansion showcases three standout features: a 16-foot custom Italian steel front door, a resort-style travertine pool deck with a knife-edge pool and spa, and an eight-car garage with a glass wall overlooking the pool deck.
Additional amenities include a sauna, steam shower, cold plunge, and hyperbaric chamber. The residence also boasts soaring ceilings and hidden panels to maintain a clutter-free environment.
Listing agent Perry noted that the mansion feels almost brand new despite being lightly lived in. “It exudes a luxurious hotel-like atmosphere,” she remarked.
