Michael C Hall Back as Dexter Morgan

Dexter Morgan Returns in “Dexter: Resurrection” Trailer

Paramount+ and Showtime have unveiled the first trailer for the highly anticipated sequel series, “Dexter: Resurrection,” featuring the iconic character Dexter Morgan portrayed once again by Michael C. Hall. This new series serves as a continuation of the original “Dexter” and the recent “Dexter: New Blood.”

Following his portrayal in eight seasons of “Dexter” and a narration role in “Dexter: Original Sin,” Hall reprises his role as the blood splatter expert and serial killer. The trailer, unveiled during the “Dexter: Resurrection” panel at CCXP Mexico City, showcases Dexter back in action shortly after surviving a gunshot wound inflicted by his son, Harrison (played by Jack Alcott).

In the upcoming series, Dexter embarks on a journey to New York City with the goal of reconciling with Harrison. However, complications arise when Angel Batista (portrayed by David Zayas) from Miami Metro arrives with inquiries, forcing Dexter to confront his past head-on. The official synopsis teases a dark and gripping narrative as father and son navigate through their shared darkness in the city that never sleeps.

“Dexter: Resurrection” is set to premiere on July 11 with the first two episodes, followed by weekly releases. Paramount co-CEO Chris McCarthy expressed excitement over Hall’s return to the beloved role, with Clyde Phillips serving as showrunner and executive producer alongside Scott Reynolds.

The star-studded cast of “Dexter: Resurrection” includes Peter Dinklage, Uma Thurman, Krysten Ritter, Neil Patrick Harris, and David Dastmalchian. The series also features original cast members such as Jennifer Carpenter, David Zayas, James Remar, C.S. Lee, Luna Lauren Velez, Desmond Harrington, and Julie Benz.
