Michael Kosta Cast in Tracy Morgan’s NBC Show ‘Reggie Dinkins’

Michael Kosta, host of “The Daily Show,” is set to make a guest appearance on Tracy Morgan’s new comedy series, “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins,” which is scheduled to premiere on January 18th. In the show, Kosta will play Brett Mann, a smug and self-important host of a sports news show similar to “SportsCenter.” Interestingly, Kosta brings his own experience as a former professional athlete to the role, adding an authentic touch to his character. Apart from his work on “The Daily Show,” Kosta also hosts the podcast “Tennis Anyone” and contributes to Tennis Channel.

Tracy Morgan takes on the lead role in “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins,” portraying a disgraced former football star who is determined to redeem his reputation with the help of acclaimed filmmaker Arthur Tobin, played by Daniel Radcliffe. As Reggie embarks on his journey to reclaim his former glory, he must confront the demons from his past. The series also features Erika Alexander as Monica, Reggie’s ex-wife, agent, and business manager, along with Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way, and Jalyn Hall in supporting roles.

Fans can catch an early premiere of “Reggie Dinkins” on Sunday following the Rams-Bears NFL game, with the series returning on February 23rd at 8 p.m. for an encore of the pilot episode and a new installment. The show marks a reunion for Tracy Morgan and “30 Rock” creator Tina Fey, who serves as an executive producer alongside Robert Carlock and Sam Means. The production is a collaboration between Universal Television, Little Stranger, Inc., 3 Arts Entertainment, Bevel Gears, Means Ends Production, and Streetlife Productions, Inc.
