Strategy Makes Massive Bitcoin Purchase
Strategy (MSTR) has just revealed its latest move in the world of cryptocurrency, announcing a significant Bitcoin purchase. The leading BTC treasury company has acquired 13,627 Bitcoin at a cost of approximately $1.25 billion, marking their largest weekly purchase since last summer.
This latest acquisition was executed at an average price of around $91,519 per Bitcoin, boosting Strategy’s total holdings to an impressive 687,410 BTC. With a total investment of approximately $51.80 billion in Bitcoin to date, the company’s average purchase price per coin stands at roughly $75,353.
Formerly known as MicroStrategy, Strategy began its journey of accumulating Bitcoin in 2020 and now boasts the largest corporate Bitcoin portfolio globally. Executive Chairman Michael Saylor recently confirmed that Strategy will not be delisted from the influential stock index MSCI, which had been considering banning companies with substantial digital asset holdings.
