Mike Young, Corey B to Host Thanksgiving Day Parade Coverage for Zeam

Streaming platform Zeam is making waves with its latest original content offering – a live Thanksgiving Day telecast featuring comedians taking on the beloved Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Dubbed “Friendzgiving – A Version of the Parade,” the special is scheduled to air from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET. Viewers can expect parade route coverage from Dale Badway, host of Zeam’s popular “Laughing Boy Live” series. In addition to parade commentary, the four hosts will also try their hand at preparing a holiday dinner together, showcasing the camaraderie and humor of touring comedians making the best of another Thanksgiving on the road.

This new special is part of Zeam’s ongoing efforts to highlight its hyper-local streaming platform and original content capabilities. Known for its ability to seamlessly host live streams from various locations across the U.S., Zeam has been pushing boundaries in the streaming space. Earlier this year, Zeam sent comedians Young and Bret Ernst on a five-day live stream event, capturing their adventures as they performed at different venues.

With a production facility based in Times Square, New York, Zeam has been actively collaborating with industry veteran John Stamos, who serves as the company’s chief innovation officer. Together with Zeam CEO Jack Perry, Stamos is leveraging his extensive network in comedy, TV, and music to explore innovative uses for Zeam’s platform.

Perry, who originally founded Zeam (formerly known as Syncbak) in 2009, has positioned the company as a leader in live stream technology and backend support for major entertainment players like Paramount, Apple TV, and Hulu. Additionally, Zeam caters to local broadcast TV stations, offering a one-stop solution for accessing live newscasts from across the country. The rebranding of Syncbak to Zeam in 2024 signifies the platform’s evolution and commitment to delivering cutting-edge content and live experiences.

In a statement about the upcoming “Friendzgiving” special, Perry emphasized the power of live entertainment, stating, “The future of entertainment is a living process – not a product, not a rebellion, but renewal. With our brand new production, ‘Friendzgiving – A Version of the Parade,’ we aim to entertain viewers as they prepare for their Thanksgiving feasts while showcasing the raw energy of live content. No frills, no facades, just life unfolding in real-time.”

As Zeam continues to push boundaries and redefine the streaming landscape, viewers can look forward to more innovative and engaging content that captures the essence of live entertainment in a digital age.
