Minneapolis ICE shooting live updates: Tensions flare in Minneapolis
Vice President JD Vance Stands Firm in Defense of ICE Agent Involved in Fatal Shooting
Vice President JD Vance continues to stand by the ICE agent who was involved in the shooting death of 37-year-old Renee Good. Vance is adamant in his defense of the agent, asserting that the shooting was an act of self-defense.
In response to a video repost that provided an elevated angle of the shooting incident, Vance took to social media to challenge Democrats, asking them, “Do you believe this officer was wrong in defending his own life against a deranged leftist who attempted to run him over?”
Vance criticized the media for not questioning the intentions of those who seek to undermine law enforcement officers for simply carrying out their duties. He emphasized the importance of holding individuals accountable for their actions.
Addressing a different perspective that defended Good’s actions during the incident, Vance dismissed claims that she was waving officers to pass her and attempting to leave the scene. He described such analyses as “preposterous” and emphasized that the officer was justified in his actions.
Vance expressed his frustration with what he perceived as attempts to distort the facts of the case, stating, “The gaslighting is off the charts, and I refuse to entertain it. The officer was simply doing his job, and Good’s actions put him in a position where he had to defend himself.”
In conclusion, Vance labeled the tragic incident as a consequence of individuals who promote the idea that immigration laws can be disregarded and interfered with. He emphasized the need for respect for law enforcement and the rule of law.
