Actor Ludi Lin Joins Cast of Comedy InvAsian III
“Mortal Kombat II” actor Ludi Lin is set to join the talented cast of “Comedy InvAsian III,” a popular AAPI stand-up comedy showcase. Lin will be performing alongside comedians Juno Men, Erik Escobar, Trevor Jang, Michelle MaliZaki, Shivaan Nadan, Kitty Pine, and Vanja Renee in the upcoming season.
The brainchild of creators Koji Steven Sakai, Victor Elizalde, and Quentin Lee, “Comedy InvAsian III” features different comedians in each episode, showcasing their unique comedic styles in 30-minute sets.
Originally premiering as a Hulu exclusive in 2018, the show is now available for streaming on Peacock, Tubi, and Amazon Prime. The series has been instrumental in launching the television careers of several AAPI comedians, including Atsuko Okatsuka, Joey Guila, Robin Tran, and Jiaoying Summers.
The upcoming season of “Comedy InvAsian” will be filmed during live performances on Valentine’s weekend at the Japanese American National Museum’s Tateuchi Democracy Forum in Los Angeles.
According to Victor Elizalde, president of Viva Pictures, “Comedy InvAsian has proven itself as both a cultural platform and a discovery engine, introducing audiences to the next generation of Asian comedy talent. Season 3 continues that mission with an extraordinary new lineup.”
Produced by Little Nalu Pictures and distributed by Viva Pictures Distribution LLC, the show is scheduled to premiere in May, coinciding with AAPI Heritage Month and aiming for Emmy 2026 FYC consideration.
The talented cast of “Comedy InvAsian III” includes familiar faces such as Erik Escobar, Trevor Jang, Michelle MaliZaki, Juno Men, Shivaan Nadan, Kitty Pine, and Vanja Renee. Lin, known for his role as Liu Kang in “Mortal Kombat II,” will also be showcasing his comedic chops in the upcoming season.
Viva Pictures will be distributing the show on platforms such as AAM.tv, Tubi, and Prime Video, adding to its roster of comedy specials and original series.
