Motorola Razr 60 vs Razr 60 Ultra: Which is a Better Buy?

Motorola has recently unveiled its latest additions to its foldable phone lineup, the Razr 60 and the Razr 60 Ultra. These new models follow the successful Razr 50 Ultra and Razr 50 from 2024, offering enhanced features and improved performance.
In terms of design and build, both the Razr 60 and Razr 60 Ultra feature redesigned titanium-reinforced hinges that are more durable than their predecessors. They also come with IP48 dust and water resistance, making them more resilient to the elements. The two models are similar in size, with the Ultra being slightly heavier and offering additional finish options like Alcantara, real wood, and faux leather. The Razr 60, on the other hand, comes in finishes like faux leather, nylon-inspired, and lightweight Acetate.
When it comes to displays, the Razr 60 Ultra boasts a larger 7-inch pOLED panel, while the Razr 60 has a 6.9-inch display. The Ultra’s display is Pantone Validated and offers a higher resolution and refresh rate compared to the Razr 60. Both models feature LTPO panels that can adjust their refresh rate based on the task at hand.
In terms of cameras, the Razr 60 Ultra sports a triple 50MP camera system, including a 50MP selfie camera. The Razr 60, on the other hand, features a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide, and a 32MP selfie camera. Both models offer Pantone Validated and Pantone SkinTone Validated color approvals for vibrant and accurate colors.
Performance-wise, the Razr 60 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, while the Razr 60 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chip with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The Ultra model also offers more storage options compared to the Razr 60.
Both phones run on Android 15 and come with Moto AI features like Catch Me Up, Pay Attention, and Remember This. The Razr 60 Ultra includes a dedicated AI Key for quick access to Moto AI features.
In terms of battery and charging, the Razr 60 Ultra has a slightly larger battery capacity and supports faster wired and wireless charging compared to the Razr 60.
The Razr 60 Ultra is priced higher than the Razr 60, but it offers superior features and performance. It is a strong competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7.
