The upcoming Hulu series centered around the infamous Murdaugh family has just announced three new additions to its cast. According to Variety, Noah Emmerich, Kathleen Wilhoite, and Tommy Dewey have all been confirmed for roles in the untitled series. This news comes after the initial announcement of cast members Jason Clarke, Patricia Arquette, J. Smith-Cameron, Johnny Berchtold, Will Harrison, and Brittany Snow. The show is based on the real-life story of Maggie and Alex Murdaugh, as well as the investigative reporting of journalist Mandy Matney, creator of the popular “Murdaugh Murders” podcast.

Emmerich will portray Randy Murdaugh, the straight-laced and rule-abiding older brother to the unpredictable Alex. The two siblings have always clashed, vying for their father’s approval and attention in both their personal lives and legal careers.

Wilhoite will take on the role of Gloria Satterfield, the Murdaugh family’s devoted housekeeper who has been by their side for decades. Despite her own sacrifices and struggles, Gloria remains unwavering in her loyalty to the family, especially in times of trouble.

Dewey’s character, Mark Tinsley, is a charming and well-connected prosecutor who finds himself entangled in the Murdaugh family drama. As an old friend of Alex, Mark is now representing the grieving parents of a girl who tragically lost her life in a boat accident.

The series is co-created and executive produced by Michael D. Fuller and Erin Lee Carr, with Fuller also serving as showrunner. Nick Antosca and Alex Hedlund of Eat the Cat production company are on board as executive producers, along with Mandy Matney. UCP is the studio behind the project, with Antosca and Eat the Cat currently under an overall deal with the studio.
