NBC Unveils New 100th Anniversary ‘NBC100’ Branding Spots and Tagline
NBC Celebrates 100 Years with New Tagline and Promo Spots
NBC is gearing up to celebrate its 100th anniversary with a new tagline, “NBC100,” and promo spots that will debut during the Winter Olympics opening ceremony and the Super Bowl. The network’s chief marketing officer, Jenny Storms, describes the milestone as an anniversary for both the viewers and the network itself, emphasizing a sense of shared history and memories.
The promotional spots, titled “Kinetic” and “In My Life,” pay homage to NBC’s origins as a radio network founded in 1926 by RCA. They highlight iconic moments and phrases from the network’s history, focusing on popular shows from recent decades.
Storms explains that NBC’s centennial celebration is about recognizing the collective experience of viewers over the years, showcasing beloved programs like “Friends,” “Seinfeld,” and “This Is Us.” While the promos capture a snapshot of NBC’s history, there are plans to delve deeper into the network’s legacy in future campaigns.
As part of the “NBC100” festivities, NBC has lined up a series of events throughout the year, including the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, FIFA World Cup on Telemundo, NBA and WNBA games, Sunday Night Football, and more. A special “NBC100” program is also in the works to air later in the year.
“Legendary February” features a lineup of programming on NBC, including the Super Bowl, Winter Olympics, and NBA All-Star Game. The network will use this opportunity to promote upcoming shows like “The ‘Burbs” on Peacock and the second season of “Ted.” Additionally, Telemundo will air a promo during the Super Bowl for its coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, featuring actor Owen Wilson.
With “NBC100” at the forefront of its marketing efforts, NBC is set to celebrate a century of entertainment and memories with viewers across the globe.
