Netflix Unveils Exciting Korean Unscripted Programming Slate
Netflix recently showcased its upcoming Korean unscripted programming slate at a festival event in Seoul, giving fans a glimpse of the new and returning reality shows set to premiere from September through February 2026.
Over the past few years, Netflix has made a significant impact with its Korean unscripted lineup, propelling local reality and competition shows to international success. Hits like “Physical: 100” and “Culinary Class Wars” have topped Netflix’s Global Non-English TV lists, captivating audiences worldwide.
The influence of these shows has been far-reaching, with “Physical: 100” sparking global fitness trends and inspiring international editions, and “Culinary Class Wars” shining a spotlight on talented chefs and boosting interest in fine dining. Notably, the popular series “Single’s Inferno” is set to return for its fifth season.
Among the exciting new shows is “Crime Scene Zero,” a mystery game show with role-playing elements, premiering on Sept. 23. Each episode will feature a special guest, with the first two being Park Sung Woong and Joo Hyun Young. In October, viewers can look forward to “Physical: Asia” as country teams from Korea, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, Türkiye, Indonesia, Australia, and the Philippines compete against each other.
November brings the debut of “Three Idiots in Kenya,” a collaboration with Nah Yung-suk’s production crew, starring Lee Su-geun, Eun Ji-won, and Kyuhyun on a comedic journey across Kenya. December will see the return of the intense cooking competition “Culinary Class Wars Season 2.”
As we move into 2026, January will mark the premiere of “Single’s Inferno” Season 5, followed by the return of “Agents of Mystery” Season 2 in February. Production is also underway for Season 3 of “The Devil’s Plan” by creator Jeong Jong-yeon, and fans can anticipate the second season of “Better Late Than Single.”
Completing the lineup are fresh iterations of the ‘guesthouse universe’ with “Kian’s Bizarre B&B Season 2” and “Jae-suk’s B&B Rules!” Yoo Jae-seok’s new series has garnered strong interest, with thousands of teams applying to be guests and undergo interviews.
