Nickelodeon Actress Dies in Hit and Run
Kianna Underwood, a former cast member of Nickelodeon’s “All That,” tragically lost her life in a hit-and-run accident in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Brownsville. The incident occurred early Friday morning at the intersection of Pitkin and Mother Gaston Blvd. Underwood, aged 33, was struck by a sedan while crossing the street and was dragged for nearly two blocks before succumbing to her injuries at the scene. The NYPD has confirmed her identity as the victim of this horrific accident, which has left the community in shock.
Underwood rose to fame for her appearances on “All That,” a beloved sketch comedy show that aired on Nickelodeon from 1994 to 2005. She starred in seven episodes alongside renowned actors such as Amanda Bynes, Nick Cannon, and Kenan Thompson. Additionally, she lent her voice to the character Fuchsia Glover in the animated series “Little Bill,” which was based on Bill Cosby’s book series and followed the adventures of a 5-year-old boy named Little Bill in Philadelphia.
In addition to her work on television, Underwood also showcased her talent in film and theater. She had a role in Nancy Savoca’s comedy film “The 24-Hour Woman” in 1999, starring alongside Rosie Perez, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and Patti LuPone. Furthermore, she provided voiceovers for the animated TV movie “Santa, Baby” in 2001 and went on to join the cast of the musical “Hairspray” on tour.
