Asian markets experienced a downturn on Tuesday following a tech-led decline on Wall Street.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 0.92% and the Topix declined 0.6%. South Korea’s Kospi and Kosdaq also registered losses.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index futures pointed to a lower opening compared to its previous close.
Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 dropped 0.76%.
In the U.S., stocks retreated with tech stocks leading the decline as investors awaited key upcoming releases.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 1.18% lower, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite also ended the day in negative territory.
Nvidia’s stock price decreased ahead of its third-quarter earnings announcement, contributing to sector-wide pressure on AI-related companies.
