No Stamp Price Hike in January, but USPS Shipping Fees Rise

For the first time in several years, the United States Postal Service (USPS) has decided not to increase the price of Forever stamps in January 2026, providing some relief to regular mail users.

However, while the cost of a 1-ounce First-Class Mail stamp will remain at 78 cents, other postage and shipping rates are set to rise this month, potentially impacting households and small businesses already facing financial challenges.

In a significant move, USPS leadership announced that they would not raise prices for Forever stamps and other market-dominant mailing products in January, aligning with the Delivering for America plan.
