Nothing Phone (3) gets Bigger Battery in India

The tech world is abuzz with the highly-anticipated launch of the Nothing Phone (3), the latest flagship phone from the challenger brand. However, there’s a twist – it seems that customers in different markets will be getting different versions of the phone, with some receiving a substandard model.

While it’s not uncommon for phones to have varying specs in different regions, the differences in the Nothing Phone (3) come as a surprise to many. Customers in the UK and US will be getting a 5150mAh silicon-carbon battery, an upgrade from the 4700mAh battery found in the Phone (2). However, buyers in India will receive a superior 5500mAh battery, providing even longer battery life.

Despite the battery upgrade, charging capabilities remain the same across all models, with 65W wired and 15W wireless charging. The 7% larger battery in the Indian version of the Phone (3) has left some customers feeling a bit shortchanged, as longer battery life is always a welcome feature.

The pricing of the Nothing Phone (3) also varies depending on the market. In India, the phone starts at ₹79,999, which is roughly equivalent to £690 or $935. Pre-orders for the Indian version will begin on 4 July. Meanwhile, customers in the UK and US will have to shell out £799/$799 for the phone.

It’s unclear why there are differences in the specs and pricing of the Nothing Phone (3) across different markets. Regardless, tech enthusiasts in all regions are eagerly awaiting the release date, price, and full specs of this innovative new flagship device. Stay tuned for more updates on the Nothing Phone (3) and its global availability.
