Shocking Video Shows Victim Fighting Back in Bronx Beatdown
A dramatic video captured the moment a victim of a brutal Bronx beatdown turned the tables on his attackers on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred just before 1 p.m. on Commonwealth Avenue near Westchester Avenue in Soundview.
The footage, obtained by The Post, shows two young men cornering their victim against a wall. One of the assailants is seen kicking the cowering victim in the face while filming the violent ordeal on his cell phone.
Despite taking the blows, the victim managed to get up from the ground. One of the attackers, wearing a black T-shirt and orange shorts, held him from behind as seen in the footage.
The victim then pulled out a gun and fired over his shoulder, hitting the shorts-wearing attacker, aged 27, in the torso. The wounded attacker was left critically injured on the sidewalk.
Meanwhile, the cameraman, dressed in red sweatpants and a white T-shirt, fled the scene as the victim-turned-gunman continued to fire in his direction.
The shooter, wearing black pants and a black sweater over a white shirt, calmly walked past the injured attacker before the video cut off.
Police reported that the injured man was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center and is currently in critical condition. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
