NYC deli worker stabbed to death by man in unprovoked attack: sources

A tragic incident unfolded at a Brooklyn deli when a deli worker was fatally stabbed by a deranged individual in a senseless attack on Friday afternoon. The horrifying incident took place at the NY Deli & Mini Market Corp. located on Hegeman Avenue near Van Siclen Avenue in East New York.

According to law enforcement sources, the disturbed attacker entered the deli around 3 p.m. and was asked to leave by the workers, including the victim. However, he returned a few minutes later and attempted to access the area behind the counter, prompting the employees to intervene.

Despite their efforts to stop him, the assailant pulled out a knife and proceeded to stab the victim, a man believed to be in his 30s, multiple times in the torso. The injured worker was quickly transported to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, but tragically succumbed to his injuries.

The perpetrator, described as having a dark complexion with braided hair, standing at approximately 5-foot-10 and weighing 190 pounds, managed to flee the scene and remained at large as authorities launched a manhunt to apprehend him.
