NYC sicko attempted to rape girl, 13, before attacking 15-year-old: cops, sources
A suspect is currently being sought by law enforcement for his involvement in two separate incidents in Brooklyn, where he attempted to rape a young girl and randomly attacked another teenage girl. The disturbing series of events unfolded on Friday, with the first incident taking place at 1:35 p.m. near Ocean Boulevard and Ditmas Avenue.
In the initial incident, a 13-year-old girl was followed into her apartment building by the suspect as she was walking home. Once inside, the suspect grabbed her by the neck and pushed her underneath a staircase in an attempted rape. The suspect, who is now being pursued by authorities, fled the scene down Ocean Parkway wearing a faded red Mario Kart T-shirt, gray sweatpants, and a black ski mask.
Fortunately, the 13-year-old victim did not sustain any physical injuries during the brazen daylight attack. However, the suspect’s actions prompted an immediate search by law enforcement to bring him to justice.
Several hours later, at approximately 6:55 p.m., the same suspect is believed to have targeted a 15-year-old girl in a similar manner near the location of the earlier attempted rape. This second incident further escalated concerns about the suspect’s brazen and dangerous behavior, prompting a heightened sense of urgency in the search for his apprehension.
Authorities have issued a public appeal for information leading to the suspect’s identification and arrest. The suspect is wanted for endangering the welfare of a child, according to a post shared by the NYPD on social media.
The NYPD has released images of the suspect, wearing a distinctive red Mario Kart T-shirt and a ski mask, in hopes of generating leads from the public. Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts or identity is urged to contact the authorities immediately.
The unsettling incidents have rattled the local community and underscore the importance of remaining vigilant and proactive in ensuring the safety and security of all residents, particularly young individuals who may be vulnerable to such predatory behavior. Law enforcement officials are working tirelessly to track down the suspect and prevent any further harm to innocent victims.
