One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik Set Netflix Series

Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson to Star in New Netflix Documentary Series

A new three-part documentary series featuring former One Direction members Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson is set to premiere on Netflix. The show will take viewers on a road trip across America filled with spontaneity, reconnection, exploration, and lots of laughter, according to an official press release.

This series aims to offer fans a rare glimpse into the lives of two of the most private ex-One Direction members. Over three episodes, Malik and Tomlinson will engage in intimate conversations about various topics including life, love, loss, and fatherhood. This comes in the wake of the tragic passing of their former bandmate, Liam Payne, in October 2024 at the age of 31.

Directed by Nicola Marsh (“Song Exploder,” “Stay on Board: The Leo Baker Story”) and produced by Campfire Studios (“Unknown Number: The High School Catfish,” “Smartless: On the Road,” and “America’s Sweethearts: The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders”), this documentary promises to offer an inside look at the personal lives of Malik and Tomlinson.

Both artists have had a busy year as solo performers and are gearing up for an even more eventful 2026. Malik recently announced a Las Vegas residency scheduled for January next year, while Tomlinson is set to release his third studio album, “How Did I Get Here?” on Jan. 23, followed by a world arena tour in the summer of 2026.

Tomlinson shared his excitement about his upcoming album, saying, “I sum it up as ‘The record I always deserved to make.’ My music is all about honesty and wearing my heart on my sleeve. I’m constantly learning and improving as a singer and songwriter. I refuse to be complacent; it’s not in my nature. For the first time, I’m embracing the artist I’ve always aspired to be.”

Malik recently wrapped up his own successful tour in support of his fourth solo album, “Room Under the Stairs.” He kicked off his inaugural headlining tour, “Stairway to the Sky,” last November with shows in London, Manchester, and Edinburgh. The tour extended to the United States with performances in New York City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, culminating in Mexico City.
