OnePlus Pad 3 Beats Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra on Performance

OnePlus has officially unveiled its latest flagship tablet, the OnePlus Pad 3. Despite the confusing naming scheme, the OnePlus Pad 3 is set to be a strong competitor in the tablet market, following in the footsteps of its predecessor, the OnePlus Pad 2.
The standout feature of the OnePlus Pad 3 is its incredibly thin body, measuring just 5.97mm thick. The use of a special type of aluminum ensures durability while keeping the tablet lightweight at 675g. Available in Storm Blue or Frosted Silver colors, the Storm Blue variant will be the choice for European consumers.
The OnePlus Pad 3 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, making it one of the first tablets to feature this chipset. Paired with 12 or 16GB of RAM and a vapor chamber with graphene composite material, the tablet promises impressive performance. Benchmarks suggest that it will outperform the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
Storage options include 256GB or 512GB, and the tablet is equipped with a large 12,140mAh battery that supports 80W SuperVooc fast charging. The display is a 13.2-inch LCD with a 3392 x 2400 resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 900 nits peak brightness. While not OLED, OnePlus promises vibrant colors with 12-bit color support. Audio quality is also a focus, with an eight-speaker setup comprising four woofers and four tweeters.
In terms of cameras, the OnePlus Pad 3 features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The main camera can record 4K video at 30fps. Interestingly, there is no fingerprint sensor on the device.
The software experience on the OnePlus Pad 3 is enhanced with OxygenOS 15 Tablet Edition running on top of Android 15. OnePlus has introduced features for seamless connectivity with other devices, including phones and laptops, making sharing and control easier.
Accessories for the OnePlus Pad 3 include an upgraded keyboard with larger keys and adjustable viewing angles, a redesigned tri-fold case with stronger magnets, and the OnePlus Stylo 2 stylus with 16,000 pressure levels and a faux-leather texture. A new interface element allows users to annotate the screen with a swipe of the stylus.
The OnePlus Pad 3 will be available for purchase starting June 19, 2025, with prices starting at £529 for the base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The top-tier model with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage will be priced at £599. The new keyboard accessory costs £169, while the OnePlus Stylo 2 stylus is priced at £99.
Overall, the OnePlus Pad 3 offers impressive performance at a competitive price point, making it a compelling option in the tablet market.
