OnePlus Pad 3 Tablet Tops Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra on Power

OnePlus has officially unveiled its latest flagship tablet, the OnePlus Pad 3, and it seems to be a strong contender in the tablet market. Despite its slightly confusing naming convention, the OnePlus Pad 3 offers a premium tablet experience at a competitive price point, following in the footsteps of its predecessor, the OnePlus Pad 2.
One of the standout features of the OnePlus Pad 3 is its incredibly slim profile, measuring just 5.97mm thick. The tablet boasts a durable yet lightweight build thanks to the use of a special type of aluminum, weighing in at 675g. It comes in two color options: Storm Blue and Frosted Silver, with only the former being available in Europe.
The OnePlus Pad 3 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with either 12GB or 16GB of RAM. With a vapor chamber cooling system that incorporates graphene composite material, the tablet promises exceptional performance. In benchmarks, it outperforms the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra by a significant margin.
Storage options for the OnePlus Pad 3 include 256GB or 512GB, and it houses a sizable 12,140mAh battery for long-lasting use. The tablet supports 80W SuperVooc fast charging for quick recharging.
The display on the OnePlus Pad 3 is a large 13.2-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 3392 x 2400 (3.4K) and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. The tablet features OnePlus’s signature 7:5 aspect ratio and can achieve a peak brightness of 900 nits in HBM mode. While it may not have an OLED display, OnePlus promises vibrant colors with 12-bit color support.
In terms of audio quality, the OnePlus Pad 3 is equipped with an eight-speaker setup comprising four woofers and four tweeters for immersive sound. Surprisingly, there is no fingerprint sensor on the tablet.
The camera setup includes a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, with the main camera capable of recording 4K video at 30fps.
Software-wise, the OnePlus Pad 3 runs on OxygenOS 15 Tablet Edition based on Android 15, offering tablet-optimized multitasking features and screen sharing capabilities. OnePlus has introduced new features like enhanced split-screen functionality and AI-powered tools for improved productivity.
To complement the OnePlus Pad 3, OnePlus has launched a new keyboard accessory with larger keys and adjustable viewing angles. Additionally, there is a redesigned tri-fold case with stronger magnets and a new magnetic buckle for attaching the optional OnePlus Stylo 2 stylus.
The OnePlus Pad 3 will be available for purchase starting June 19, 2025, with prices starting at £529 for the 12GB/256GB model and £599 for the 16GB/512GB model. The tablet offers impressive performance at a fraction of the price of competitors like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
Overall, the OnePlus Pad 3 is a compelling option in the tablet market, offering premium features and performance at a competitive price point.
