Pardoned Maryland Jan 6 rioter and ‘Proud Boys’ member Bryan Betancur wanted for taking videos of himself touching women’s hair aboard trains

Authorities are currently on the lookout for Bryan Betancur, a pardoned Jan. 6 rioter and self-proclaimed white supremacist from Maryland. He is wanted for allegedly assaulting and touching the hair of several women on Metro trains in Virginia. The incident took place on a Silver Line train at the Clarendon Metro Station on Sunday evening.

The Metro Transit Police have issued an arrest warrant for Betancur for assault and battery. Reports indicate that he livestreamed himself on social media touching the hair of multiple women without their knowledge while on Metro trains. This inappropriate behavior has sparked an active investigation by the authorities.

Betancur, who hails from Silver Springs, Maryland, is known for his involvement in the January 6 riots at the US Capitol. He was on parole for fourth-degree burglary charges when he was arrested for his participation in the unrest. Betancur has made troubling statements to law enforcement officers, claiming to be a member of several white supremacist organizations and expressing homicidal ideations. He has also researched mass shootings and declared his desire to be a “lone wolf killer.”

During the Capitol riots, Betancur was seen wearing a Proud Boys T-shirt and displaying the “OK” hand signal while holding a Confederate battle flag near the US Capitol Building. The Proud Boys is a far-right, neo-fascist organization that describes itself as a pro-Western fraternal organization for men who refuse to apologize for creating the modern world
