Partial skeletal remains, including human skull, found near NYC strip mall: cops

A disturbing discovery was made near a bustling strip mall in Queens, as a set of incomplete skeletal remains, including a human skull, were recovered on a Monday afternoon. This grim finding comes just a week after sanitation workers stumbled upon a woman’s torso in a trash bag during a routine cleanup in the same borough.

The skeletal remains, consisting of a skull, hip bone, and leg bone, were found at 134-01 20th Ave. in College Point, a location situated across from a large parking lot housing popular stores like ShopRite, Target, HomeGoods, and TJ Maxx. NYPD officers, accompanied by homicide squad detectives, meticulously examined the scene throughout the afternoon.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is diligently working to determine the cause of death linked to these skeletal remains.

This unsettling discovery follows the recent incident where sanitation workers uncovered a woman’s dismembered torso concealed in a trash bag along their early morning route in Queens. The rest of the woman’s body parts and head were not found at the scene. Authorities are relying on distinct tattoos, including a cluster featuring three names, to aid in the identification process of the deceased woman.

The NYPD is actively working to piece together the details surrounding these disturbing incidents, and the community remains on edge as they await further updates on these unsettling developments.
