Perv learns fate after traveling from Chile to LA to meet girl he lured into Roblox sex scheme
A Chilean man, Daniel Andres Aravena Olivia, has been sentenced to 11 years in federal prison for his despicable actions involving a 14-year-old girl he met on the gaming platform Roblox. Olivia, a 22-year-old resident of Santiago, engaged in explicit conversations with the victim through Roblox, FaceTime, and Zoom, with the interactions taking a disturbing turn when he coerced the young girl into sending him explicit photos.
The girl’s family discovered the inappropriate interactions in April 2024 and immediately contacted law enforcement, leading to Olivia’s arrest. Despite being blocked by the victim’s parents, Olivia continued his predatory behavior by traveling from Santiago to Los Angeles with the intention of meeting the underage girl for sexual purposes. However, he was apprehended by federal agents upon arrival at the airport.
Upon further investigation, authorities found incriminating evidence on Olivia’s iPhone, including 50 images of the victim stored in his deleted photos folder. Olivia pleaded guilty to charges of enticement of a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity and possession of child pornography in March 2025. As part of his sentencing, Olivia was ordered to pay $3,000 in restitution.
This case serves as a stark reminder of the dangers that lurk online and the importance of vigilance in protecting children from online predators. Parents are urged to closely monitor their children’s online activities and report any suspicious behavior to law enforcement. Olivia’s sentencing sends a strong message that exploitation of minors will not be tolerated, and perpetrators will be held accountable for their actions.
