Polymarket and Kalshi Prediction Markets Coming to Google (GOOG)

Google is set to revolutionize the way users access crowd-based forecasts on key future events by integrating prediction market odds from platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi directly into Google Search and its revamped Google Finance platform.

This move is part of a larger effort to make Google Finance more interactive, AI-powered, and globally accessible. Users will now be able to see real-time market odds and charts showing how probabilities have shifted over time in response to natural language queries such as “Will the U.S. enter a recession in 2025?” or “Who will win the 2024 U.S. presidential election?”

Prediction markets operate by allowing individuals to buy and sell shares in the outcome of future events, with resulting prices reflecting the market’s collective expectations. The integration of prediction market data into Google’s mainstream tools brings the concept of the “wisdom of the crowd” directly to users, offering potentially more accurate forecasts than traditional models or pundits.

This partnership marks a significant step forward for Polymarket, a blockchain-based platform operating outside the U.S. due to regulatory constraints, as it gains broader visibility through Google’s platform. Google Finance’s overhaul also includes features like Deep Search, which uses Google’s Gemini AI to provide long-form, cited financial answers, and new earnings call tracking with real-time transcripts and summaries.

Prediction market data is currently being rolled out to users in Google Labs, with broader access expected in the near future. Google has also announced plans to expand the updated Google Finance platform beyond the U.S., starting with India.

Overall, Google’s integration of prediction market odds from Polymarket and Kalshi into its Search and Finance platforms represents a groundbreaking move in the tech industry and signals a shift towards more interactive and globally accessible financial tools.
