Powerlifting influencer Stefi Cohen arrested for domestic violence
Stefi Cohen, a well-known powerlifting influencer, found herself in trouble once again as she was arrested for domestic violence in Miami. This arrest comes more than a year after she faced multiple charges related to cyberharassment and unauthorized access to a computer.
The 33-year-old influencer, whose real name is Stefanie Cohen Magarici, has a significant following on her Instagram page, where she is known as Dr. Stefi Cohen. With over 1 million followers, she has built a strong presence in the fitness community.
The previous incident that led to her arrest involved her accessing her ex-boyfriend’s laptop and finding nude photos of his new girlfriend. Cohen allegedly shared these photos in a group chat with the woman and other individuals, with the intention of exposing and humiliating her.
The victim reported the incident to Miami detectives in November 2023, leading to Cohen’s arrest at her home in Coconut Grove in May 2024. During the arrest, she resisted the officers, even going as far as sweeping one of them off his feet with a leg hook.
Apart from her legal troubles, Cohen is also known for her accomplishments in powerlifting and boxing. As a 25-time world record-breaking powerlifter, she holds all-time world records for the squat, total, and deadlift in the 123-pound weight class. Her impressive career in powerlifting spanned from 2015 to 2020, with numerous competition wins and accolades.
In addition to her athletic achievements, Cohen has a boxing record of 4-1-1, with her most recent fight taking place in June 2023. She has been in a relationship with fellow influencer Tristan Hamm, who has a substantial following on Instagram.
Despite her legal troubles, Stefi Cohen continues to be a prominent figure in the fitness world, showcasing her strength and determination both in and out of the gym.
