Prince William brings his son to the same homeless shelter he first visited with Princess Diana

LONDON — LONDON (AP) — Prince William and his eldest son, Prince George, donned aprons to assist in preparing Christmas lunch at a homeless shelter that holds sentimental value for the royal family. The Passage, located in central London, was a charity that the Prince of Wales frequented as a child alongside his mother, Princess Diana.

In a heartwarming video shared on William’s YouTube channel, the royal duo could be seen adorning a Christmas tree and lending a hand in the kitchen to prepare the festive meal. “Proud to be part of the Christmas lunch preparations at The Passage, with an extra pair of helping hands this year,” read a social media post from William and his wife, Princess Catherine.

As the royal patron of The Passage, William has been actively involved with the charity, following in the footsteps of his mother. This occasion marked the first time that 12-year-old George accompanied his father on a visit. The young prince even added his signature to a book where Diana and William had signed their names 32 years ago, in December 1993.

The video captured William handling Brussels sprouts in the kitchen, while George assisted in arranging Yorkshire puddings and setting up a long dining table for the guests. The father-son duo’s efforts were part of William’s Homewards project, which he initiated in 2023 to address homelessness.
