Producers Guild Awards Nominees in Sports, Children’s and Short-Form
The Producers Guild of America has recently announced the nominations for its 37th annual PGA Awards, with nods in the sports, children’s, and short-form program categories. Returning nominees include last year’s winner for outstanding children’s program, “Sesame Street,” as well as “Formula 1: Drive to Survive” and “Hard Knocks” in the sports category, “SpongeBob SquarePants” in the children’s category, and “Hacks: Bit By Bit” and “Overtime with Bill Maher” in the short-form program category.
The winners of the 37th Annual Producers Guild Awards will be announced at the PGA’s east and west coast celebrations of the nominees and producing teams in February, with the awards show taking place on February 28. The PGA ceremony celebrates the work of producing across film, television, and emerging media, recognizing standout achievements in the industry.
Final polls for the sports, children’s, and short-form categories will open on Monday, Jan. 5, and close on Monday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. PT. Nominees for the innovation award and documentary motion pictures were previously revealed, with producers like Amy Pascal, Mara Brock Akil, and Jason Blum set to be honored at this year’s ceremony.
The 2026 Producers Guild Awards nominees in the sports, children’s, and short-form categories include notable programs like “100 Foot Wave,” “Sesame Street,” and “Hacks: Bit By Bit.” Awards in these categories are presented to the production as a whole, not to individual producers.
The event chairs for the 2026 Producers Guild Awards are Mike Farah and Joe Farrell, with the ceremony produced by Anchor Street Collective. Branden Chapman serves as the executive producer, while Carleen Cappelletti is the co-executive producer.
Stay tuned for more announcements, as nominees in theatrical motion pictures, animated motion pictures, TV series/specials, and televised/streamed motion pictures will be revealed on Friday, Jan. 9. The Producers Guild Awards continue to be a prestigious event honoring the talented individuals behind some of the most successful projects in the industry.
