Ray J’s Estranged Wife Alters Protective Order Amid His Health Battle

Ray J’s estranged wife, Princess Love, has made changes to the protective order against him following his ongoing health struggles. According to a report from Page Six on January 31, a judge agreed to modify the protective order that previously prevented Ray J from seeing his two children, Melody and Epik. Princess Love, who filed for divorce from Ray J for the fourth time in 2024, expressed during the hearing that the children missed their father and were concerned about his health issues.

Following the hearing at the San Fernando courthouse in Los Angeles, Ray J was pictured with Princess Love, showcasing a united front. This development comes months after Ray J was arrested in November 2025 for allegedly threatening Princess Love with a gun. Despite denying the allegations, he was released on bail and charged with misdemeanor offenses.

In January, Ray J was hospitalized with pneumonia and heart pains, a condition he had previously battled in 2021. In a social media video, he hinted at his health struggles by suggesting that he doesn’t have much time left. He expressed gratitude towards his family for their support with medical bills and doctor visits.

In a later interview, Ray J disclosed that his heart was functioning at only 60 percent capacity, with half of it turning black as per his doctors’ assessment. He shared that he was prescribed cholesterol medications and those meant for individuals at high risk of heart failure.

Despite these challenges, Ray J remains hopeful and focused on his health journey. The amended protective order allows him to have unlimited contact with his children and wife, reflecting a positive step forward amidst his health battle.
