Real estate giant Cushman & Wakefield to hire hundreds more vets as top exec stresses ex-military good for business
Veterans: A Valuable Asset in the Workplace
On Veterans Day, Cushman & Wakefield, a leading real estate firm, announced its plan to hire 600 more veterans and reservists in the coming year. Bruce Mosler, the chairman of global brokerage at the company, emphasized the positive impact veterans have on businesses.
Mosler stated, “Veterans are not just hired for charitable reasons; they significantly contribute to the bottom line of a company, strengthen its culture, and can emerge as leaders within the organization.”
Cushman & Wakefield already employs over 1,450 veterans nationwide, focusing on roles in property management, facilities, construction, and operations. The company was also recognized as the sixth Top Ten Military Friendly Employer this year, marking its fourth consecutive appearance on the list.
According to Mosler, the initiative to hire veterans began about twelve years ago in collaboration with other companies. Cushman & Wakefield now serves as a mentor to guide other businesses in identifying veterans’ skill sets and matching them with suitable positions.

Mosler highlighted that the skills acquired by veterans during their service easily translate to civilian jobs. He emphasized that veterans possess unique experiences and qualities that are often lacking in recent college graduates. The company’s commitment to hiring veterans will continue to grow, with a focus on mentorship to ensure they excel in their roles.
