Renee Brinkerhoff sues her ex-husband for $1M, reviving their legal fight – JS
Renee Brinkerhoff Takes Legal Action Against Ex-Husband
Renee Brinkerhoff recently made a decision she never wanted to make – taking her ex-husband, William Brinkerhoff, to court.
Following their divorce in 2022, the legal battle between the former couple has escalated, leading to a series of lawsuits and appeals, costing both parties millions in legal fees.
Despite her reluctance, Renee felt compelled to sue William for allegedly moving $1.1 million out of Brinkerhoff Exploration to prevent her from accessing the funds. She now holds a controlling stake in the company as part of their divorce settlement.
William Brinkerhoff, along with his attorney Kelley Duke, have not responded to requests for comment on the matter.
In her lawsuit, Renee also implicates two limited partners in the oil and gas company, Bill and Cargill MacMillan III, who are billionaire heirs to the Cargill agribusiness fortune.
Despite her respect for the MacMillans, Renee believes that William deceived them to further his own interests, prompting her to seek legal intervention.
She is seeking the return of the $1.1 million allegedly taken from the company, currently held by Chase Bank, with attorney Joshua Bugos representing her in this case.
