‘Resident Alien’ Canceled Ahead of Season 4 Finale

“Resident Alien” Cancelled by USA Network

USA Network has officially canceled the sci-fi series “Resident Alien,” as confirmed by Variety. Despite the cancellation, three remaining episodes of the show’s fourth season are still set to air as scheduled.

Originally debuting in 2021 on Syfy, “Resident Alien” made the move to USA Network after three successful seasons. Season 4 premiered on the new network in June, marking the beginning of the end for the beloved series. While the show’s fate has been sealed, fans can still look forward to the final three episodes airing in the coming weeks.

Series creator and showrunner Chris Sheridan expressed his anticipation for the conclusion of “Resident Alien,” stating, “I knew going into it that this was likely going to be our final season. Creatively, that was exciting because I knew we could spend the time wrapping up some storylines and driving toward an ending.”

Sheridan also teased that the Season 4 finale will provide a satisfying conclusion while leaving the door slightly ajar for potential future developments in the show’s universe.

Starring Alan Tudyk as an alien who crash-lands on Earth with the intention of wiping out humanity, “Resident Alien” follows his journey as he assumes the identity of a small-town physician and begins to form connections with the residents. The talented ensemble cast includes Sara Tomko, Corey Reynolds, Alice Wetterlund, Levi Fiehler, Elizabeth Bowen, Judah Prehn, and Meredith Garretson.

Fans can catch the remaining episodes of “Resident Alien” airing on USA Network on Fridays, with new episodes becoming available for streaming on Peacock a week later. The series finale is set to air on August 8th, providing closure for loyal viewers while leaving room for speculation about what the future may hold for this unique and beloved show.
