The highly anticipated finale of “Dancing With the Stars” aired on Tuesday, November 25th, and fans were on the edge of their seats as the final five contestants battled it out for the coveted Len Goodman mirrorball trophy. The episode received an impressive 72 million votes, double the amount from the previous year, showcasing the immense popularity of the show.
Each team performed three dances throughout the night – judges’ pick, the insta dance, and a freestyle routine. The insta dance added an element of surprise as the teams only had five minutes to prepare for a dance they did not know in advance.
Alix and Val set the bar high with a perfect score of 30 for their samba and cha-cha. Their freestyle routine was a highlight of the night, earning them another perfect score and ultimately making Alix the only contestant to receive a perfect score of 90/90.
Dylan and Daniella wowed the audience with their performances, receiving high praises from the judges for their foxtrot and contemporary freestyle routine in water. They ended the night with an impressive score of 87/90.
Elaine and Alan delivered a flawless rumba and quickstep, earning them a perfect score of 30 for their first dance. Their freestyle routine to “Chorus Line” showcased their talent and creativity, securing them a final score of 87/90.
Despite suffering a rib injury during rehearsals, Robert and Witney impressed the judges with their quickstep and cha-cha insta dance. Their emotional and energetic freestyle routine earned them a perfect score, bringing their total to 89/90.
Jordan and Ezra closed the night with a powerful paso doble and tango, earning a near-perfect score of 29/30 and a perfect score for their insta dance. Their show-stopping freestyle routine, featuring a surprise appearance by Normani, impressed the judges and earned them a perfect score, resulting in a final score of 89/90.
The show also announced that the live tour will feature Danielle Fishel, Andy Richter, and Elaine Hendrix, with surprise appearances from the finalists.
In the end, Robert Irwin emerged as the winner, taking home the coveted mirrorball trophy. The finale was a night filled with unforgettable performances and exciting moments, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the next season of “Dancing With the Stars.”
