Rapper Rod Wave found himself in trouble with the law once again as he was arrested in Fulton County, Georgia on Friday on weapon and drug charges. According to TMZ, the Atlanta Police Department apprehended him for possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of certain felonies, reckless driving, possession of a Schedule V controlled substance, and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.

As of Saturday morning, Rod Wave remains in custody but is expected to be released soon. His attorney, Drew Findling, confirmed that they reached an agreement for an $8,000 bond during his initial court appearance.
The reasons behind Rod Wave’s arrest are still unclear. TMZ has reached out to the Atlanta Police Department for further details but has not received a response yet.

Earlier this year, Rod Wave, whose real name is Rodarius Green, faced legal troubles after allegedly firing his Glock 20 10mm semi-automatic pistol at his home in the Atlanta area following a dispute with his real estate agents and associates. Police reported that he attempted to flee the scene to evade arrest.
This incident violated his existing bond order from a battery case in October 2020. He was subsequently charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during a felony, reckless conduct, and other offenses. Despite his legal issues, Rod Wave’s legal team defended him, claiming the charges were baseless.
Notably, Rod Wave has had previous run-ins with the law, including being arrested in Florida last year for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. In 2022, he was also accused of choking his girlfriend, but the case did not proceed to prosecution.
