Russell Wilson will remain the Giants’ starting QB going into Week 2

Russell Wilson to Remain Starting Quarterback for New York Giants

After a lackluster performance in the season opener, coach Brian Daboll has confirmed that Russell Wilson will continue to start at quarterback for the New York Giants in their upcoming game against Dallas on Sunday.

Daboll’s decision to stick with Wilson comes after speculation that rookie Jaxson Dart could potentially take over the starting role. However, Wilson’s experience and leadership have earned him another chance to lead the team.

In the Giants’ Week 1 loss to Washington, Wilson struggled, completing 17 of 37 passes for 168 yards. The team failed to score a touchdown for the third consecutive season opener, highlighting the need for improvement on offense.

Despite Dart being the first-round pick and a highly touted prospect, he will continue to serve as Wilson’s backup as he awaits his NFL debut. The organization is hopeful that Dart will develop into the future franchise quarterback.
