Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 Spec Leaks
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge smartphone has recently appeared on a popular benchmark test, giving us a glimpse of its next-generation processor and performance capabilities. According to leaks by Abhishek Yadav, the Galaxy S26 Edge (model number SM-S947U) was spotted on the Geekbench 6 benchmarking tool.
The benchmark results confirm that the upcoming flagship device from Samsung will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor, paired with a whopping 12GB of RAM. Additionally, the phone will run on Android 16, which is the latest version of the operating system.
What sets the Galaxy S26 Edge apart is its impressive benchmark scores. The device achieved a single-core score of 3393 and a multi-core score of 11515. Compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Edge, which scored around 3000 single-core and 9338 multi-core, the S26 Edge shows a significant performance improvement of 13% and 23% respectively.
In terms of performance comparison with Apple’s flagship devices, the Galaxy S26 Edge outperforms the iPhone 16 Pro Max in single-core performance, showcasing Qualcomm’s advancements in this area. While Apple devices are known for their exceptional single-core performance, the S26 Edge manages to surpass them in this aspect.
However, in multi-core performance, the iPhone 16 Pro Max falls short with a score of 8378 in contrast to the Galaxy S26 Edge’s impressive 11515. Looking ahead, the competition will only intensify with the upcoming release of the iPhone 17 Pro Max and potentially the iPhone 17 Air, offering new and improved chips.
