Samsung Galaxy S26 European Release Date Leaked

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 smartphone series is expected to hit stores on March 11, according to a source in Europe. Recent reports have pointed to February 25 as the date for Samsung’s Unpacked launch event, making the March 11 release date seem more credible.

The gap between the announcement and release dates for Samsung’s flagship phones typically falls around two weeks, with last year’s Galaxy S25 series having a 16-day gap. The Samsung Galaxy S24 had a precise 14-day gap between its announcement and rollout.

Dealabs, a French website, has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S26 will be announced on February 25 at 7 PM French time, which is 6 PM UK time. This aligns with previous reports of the launch event date.

There have been rumors of price hikes for the Samsung Galaxy S26 in certain regions, such as South Korea, due to increasing costs of RAM modules. Prices in South Korea could see an increase ranging from 44,000 won to 88,000 won, depending on the model. However, the US market is expected to remain unaffected by these price hikes.

In terms of performance, the Samsung Galaxy S26+ and S26 Ultra have appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking tool. The S26 Ultra achieved a multi-core score exceeding 11,000, while the S26+ also scored impressively. Both phones are running on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip with 12GB of RAM, expected for US models. Global models will likely run on Samsung’s Exynos 2600 chip, which may yield slightly different results.

Interestingly, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is not running at its full potential, with the performance cores clocked at 4.19GHz compared to previous versions of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The Galaxy S26+, on the other hand, is running at a higher 4.74GHz. These benchmark results place the new Samsung Galaxy S26 series in line with other flagship phones on the market.

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is highly anticipated, with a rumored release date of March 11 and impressive benchmark scores. Stay tuned for more updates on pricing and availability in different regions.
