Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Could Go in Opposite Direction to Pixel 10
Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, is set to take a different approach to design compared to the Pixel 10 series. According to renowned tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be thinner than its predecessor, measuring below 8mm in thickness. Additionally, the phone will also shed a few grams in weight despite rumors suggesting a slightly larger display and overall footprint.
This shift in design philosophy stands in stark contrast to Google’s reported plans for the Pixel 10 series. Recent reports indicate that the Pixel 10 devices will be thicker and heavier overall, with Google opting for larger batteries. On the other hand, Samsung is rumored to stick with a 5000mAh battery for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
One speculation is that Google’s decision to increase the size of its phones could be linked to the adoption of a full Qi2 magnetized charging system, potentially named ‘Pixelsnap’.
