Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 September Security Update Out Now
Samsung has rolled out a new security update for its latest foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The update includes the September 2025 Android security patch along with two new features that aim to enhance the user experience.
The update, which is currently available in South Korea and expected to reach other regions soon, brings more than just bug fixes. In addition to the usual security patches, users can now enjoy the integration of Google Finance into the Now Bar. This feature allows users to stay updated on major stock price changes without having to unlock their phones, making it convenient for stock market enthusiasts.
Another new feature included in the update is related to Samsung DeX. Users can now add and resize widgets on the home screen in the DeX interface, providing more customization options and flexibility in using the hybrid desktop interface.
While these new features may not be groundbreaking, they are a welcome addition to the foldable phones. Typically, software updates focus on closing security loopholes, so the inclusion of new features is a pleasant surprise for users.
Looking ahead, rumors continue to swirl around Samsung’s foldable lineup. Speculations suggest that Samsung may release another full-sized foldable device in 2026 with wider displays to compete with the rumored foldable iPhone. Additionally, there are talks about the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, a two-hinged foldable device expected to launch in limited numbers in South Korea this November.
As Samsung continues to innovate in the foldable phone market, users can look forward to more updates and new features that enhance the overall user experience. Stay tuned for more exciting developments from Samsung’s bendable line.
