Scarlett Johansson Fires Back at Michael Che for Weekend Update Jokes

Scarlett Johansson has finally clapped back at Michael Che for his jokes on “Weekend Update” on “Saturday Night Live.” Johansson, who hosted SNL for the seventh time this past weekend with musical guest Bad Bunny, has had enough of Che’s jabs.
Che, who writes jokes for Colin Jost to deliver during “Weekend Update,” has made jokes at Johansson’s expense in the past. One such joke referenced Johansson’s absence from the Costco menu, with Jost quipping, “I’ve been eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid.”
During the season finale of SNL, Che and Jost addressed the tradition of joke-swapping and invited Johansson to join them at the “Update” desk. Che then formally apologized to Johansson for his previous jokes, including one that compared her vagina to Costco roast beef.
In response, Johansson expressed her surprise at the nature of the jokes directed at her, calling Che and Jost “seventh-, eighth-grade boys.” She hinted at the possibility of retaliation, suggesting that she might come up with a way to burn Michael back.
Despite the jokes at her expense, Johansson made history with her seventh time hosting SNL, breaking the record for the most episodes hosted by a woman. Previously tied with Tina Fey and Drew Barrymore at six times each, Johansson now holds the title for the most appearances by a female host on the show.
It remains to be seen how Johansson will retaliate against Che’s jokes, but one thing is for sure – she’s not backing down without a fight. Stay tuned for more updates on this ongoing SNL saga.
