Seth Meyers, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Crash ‘SNL’ Weekend Update

Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che had a surprise visit during their segment as former anchors Seth Meyers, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler crashed their desk for a “Joke Off.” The trio came by to joke about a woman in a Tennessee hospital who made headlines for giving birth to a 13-pound baby. Some of the jokes included quips like “The baby was so big he slapped the doctor on his ass” and “Did she give birth or did the baby drive out?”

Poehler acted as the host for the episode, with Fey also making an appearance during the cold open as Kristi Noem. The trio, who have a history of hosting Weekend Update together, shared the desk once again. Fey was behind the desk with Jimmy Fallon from 2000–2004, then Fey and Poehler took over from 2004–2006, followed by Poehler and Meyers from 2006–2008. Meyers then hosted solo from 2008–2013.

During the Update segment, Jost and Che took jabs at various topics including Arby’s new menu item, Gen Z men moving back in with their parents, and Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s controversial statement about circumcision and autism.

The “Joke Off” segment brought back the nostalgia of past Weekend Update hosts, adding a fun twist to the current lineup. Watch the hilarious showdown in the video below.
