Sheriff Refutes U.S. Official’s Damning Claim About The Nancy Guthrie Case
According to a recent report by Reuters, an unnamed U.S. law enforcement official raised concerns about the sheriff’s decision to send evidence to a crime lab in Florida instead of the FBI’s facility, stating that it is hindering the progress of the investigation.
Newly released door-cam footage captured an individual wearing a mask and armed with gloves at Nancy Guthrie’s residence in the Tucson area. Authorities have since located gloves in the vicinity that they believe may be connected to the alleged abduction.
Police Chief Nanos mentioned in an interview with a local station that he initially discussed sending the gloves to the FBI’s lab, but ultimately convinced the agency to send all the gloves for analysis.
On the other hand, the unidentified official cited in the Reuters article emphasized the importance of utilizing federal resources and technology for a swift resolution. They expressed that any delay in the investigation only prolongs the anguish of the Guthrie family and the community’s quest for justice.
Nancy Guthrie, the mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, was last seen on the evening of January 31st.
JS has reached out to the FBI for a response.
