Single mom battered by Cincinnati mob slams ‘insulting’ police chief for calling the beatdown an ‘incident’
The Cincinnati Street Brawl: A Single Mom’s Fight for Justice
Last month, a single mom known as Holly was brutally attacked in a violent street brawl in Cincinnati. She has since criticized the city’s police chief, Teresa Theetge, for downplaying the incident as just an “incident” during a press conference. Holly appeared on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” to voice her frustration, stating that the attack was more than just an incident but a vicious beatdown.
Holly expressed that she considers the attack an attempted murder and finds the term “incident” insulting. She also mentioned that neither the police chief nor the mayor have reached out to apologize for the violence that occurred. The assault left Holly with severe injuries, including a black eye, busted lip, and brain trauma.
The disturbing footage of the street brawl showed a group of mostly black men surrounding Holly and another white man. Both victims were punched and stomped on while on the ground, with Holly eventually being knocked unconscious after trying to intervene in the altercation.
Several individuals involved in the attack, including Montianez Merriweather, Jermaine Matthews, Aisha Devaughn, and Dominique Kittle, have been arrested and charged with felonious assault, assault, and aggravated riot.

While the motive for the attack remains unclear, a new video surfaced showing the victims hurling racial slurs at their attackers before the violence erupted. The family of one of the accused individuals claimed that he was also subjected to racial slurs and aggression before the brawl.
Despite the attention the incident has garnered, Holly believes that if the roles were reversed, and the victim was an African American woman, the response would have been different. Race has been a significant factor in the discussion surrounding the attack, with the arrested individuals being accused of racism against the white victims.
The search for another individual involved in the assault is ongoing, and authorities are working to bring them to justice. Holly continues to fight for justice and hopes for accountability for those responsible for the brutal attack.
